1st grade Found Art Landscapes

First graders were discussing pollution, the environment, recycling, and reusable resources. So I collected bottle tops and we made landscapes! I stressed that I wanted to see different style brushstroke sand just love what the kids created!

2nd grade Quilts

With the second graders talking about money exchange, goods and services, I decided to tie that into art jobs and then selling artwork. There was a suggestion in the curriculum to make quilts, and here’s what we came up with. I love how they turned out! (I think I always say that… Ha!)

K – Dragons

IMG_2689 IMG_2690 IMG_2691 IMG_2692Kindergarten students drew dragons!! Seriously! I couldn’t believe how great these turned out but the kids did fantastic! We discussed drawing an imaginary creature (and what is real and make believe… this was a funny conversation!). Then we drew the dragon, painted paper that was later cut into fire, and put it all together. Seriously, I was amazed with these little cuties!
